SIETAR Kansai Student Fair 2021 wrap-up

IIE

It was Otemae University’s second year organizing and hosting the SIETAR Kansai Student Fair 2021 online. We had seven student committee members, three of whom were familiar with the procedure as it was their second time partaking in the event. Therefore, we ensured to avoid last year’s mistakes. We prioritized voicing out our opinions and concerns at every meeting and supported one another when in need. Last year, we had approximately 30 participants. This year, to our surprise, we had 47 participants from seven different universities! This was definitely a new accomplishment for us.
On the day of the event, everything went smoothly and accordingly. This year’s theme was the topic of their choice. We had groups of students on topics ranging from development disorder, environmental issues, human trafficking and more. We were fascinated by the variety of interesting topics and the amount of effort the students put into their presentations.
We had seven committee members. Six of them were assigned to each breakout room and the remaining member was in charge of the main room. Each breakout room consisted of eight participants. The committee members regulated each breakout room competently and ensured the participants and spectators were engaging in every conversation. The event was a success as everyone, including the committee members, learned something beneficial!
